What you will do: The Consulting Services team is looking for a Technical Consultant to deliver technical consulting projects with external customers in the EMEA region, primarily focused on Iberia and the EMEA region. Under the supervision of the manager of Cloud and Field Services, the Technical Consultant will contribute during the pre-sales, delivery, and post-sales of cloud and field services. The services range from on-site field services activities (installations, upgrades, configuration updates), project management of the implementation of cloud connectivity, to consultancy assignments where we formulate key clear, and attainable recommendations to our customers. The range of consultancy engagements aims at helping our customers to improve their operational efficiency, reduce costs and mitigate operational risk. You will be stationed  in the Madrid Office, but working all over the EMEA region. The engagement is undefined (long period of time).  However, for an initial period of 2 years, there might be a requirement to work as a Spanish 'autonomo', for which all the support will be provided by us.  The salary is a the high end of the market, starting at 3000€ gross/month and increasing each 6 months for the first 2 years. Your responsibilities will be to: Contribute to all steps in the process required to deliver payable technical consulting projects to our customers: Perform cloud implementation projects, field services assignments, and technical studies At the end of an assignment, be responsible for the post-delivery project steps like internal reporting, billing, helping customers and the relevant account manager to translate next steps into clear and tangible actions Provide feedback to the central team in order to enhance the consulting services portfolio, collateral and processes Under the supervision of the manager of Cloud and Field Services engage in the pre-sales process in order to assess feasibility, budget and scope of potential consulting engagements Focus will be on the delivery of payable technical studies/consulting assignments like: 1. Field and Implementation Services: Assist clients with best practices installations and configurations of their own SWIFT infrastructure Perform new installations, upgrades and configuration Rate/Provide on-site support services during customer go-live of new or updated systems Provide onsite emergency assistance and safeguard systems health of customer infrastructures during long term engagements with customers 2. Project management, community or customer driven projects . End-to-end follow-up on the successful implementation of Cloud connectivity solutions or compliance solutions Participate in community projects whereby a group of clients need to adopt similar solutions or connectivity configurations Be a single point of contact for the customer to provide project assistance liaising with other specialists 3. Technical Consulting: Assignments addressing medium term tactical customer requirements like but not limited to Architecture studies, Technical audits, migrations... For this type of consulting assignments, we expect the Technical Consultant to: Act as a prime point of contact, and deliver technical consultancy assignments Prepare underlying documentation and supporting technical flows Articulate objective, relevant and accurate recommendations Identify potential business opportunities Develop a strong and trusting operational relationship with the client and other stakeholders   Skills: University degree in computer science, electronic engineering or equivalent by experience Ability to quickly assimilate the company's interfaces Products and Services is a prerequisite Excellent project management, personal planning, analytical, presentation and customer relationship skills Excellent English, both written and spoken, is required 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in similar roles and/or industries Business knowledge in financial markets and a background in IT/Systems/Interfaces Knowledge of Spanish is required and any other major language is a pre Willingness to travel
